Do You See Me

Tina Amana is a Singer/Songwriter born and raised in Birmingham. She takes influences from soul, rnb and jazz combined with catchy yet reflective lyrics and melodies to create her distinctive, incomparable style. Her musical influences include the likes of Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Esperanza Spalding, Lianne La Havas and Tiana Major9. From the young age of 13 she began songwriting which gave her a platform to express unpolished, true life experiences. At the age of 15 she joined a soul band where she was given her first opportunity to perform at venues across the West Midlands including the NEC. She completed a 2 year National diploma in Music at Birmingham Metropolitan College. She then completed a degree in music performance and a BA Hons in performance industries at The Academy of Contemporary Music. During her degree in late 2013 she began gigging around Birmingham performing at local venues including The Yardbird, Sun in The Station & The Actress and Bishop. In 2018 she performed internationally for the first time in America and releasing her official debut single 'Birmingham Baby'. This received a lot of acclamation and attention with Birmingham Mail tipping it as a potential theme tune for the commonwealth games 2022. Following the success of this release she independently put on her first solo show 'A Night With Tina Amana' which featured guest performances from local artists from across Birmingham.
