Tiah J - Walk Away feat. Mister Sanders

Born and raised in South-east London Tina Jordan aka Tiah J is an experimental soul singer / song writer.
Music has always played a big part in Tiah's life. She started singing at 13 years-old , when she was given a karaoke machine by her parents. That was it - she was hooked. Tiah was influenced from the likes of Whitney Houston " I want to dance with somebody"
Having been born with cognitive impairment, this has had a massive impact on her everyday life , such as struggling to deal with day to day tasks ,social interactions and alongside that depression, This lead to her using music as a form of therapy as a coping strategy, in order to deal with her disability.
When singing ,Tiah would get immersed into the music , which would take her away from the reality of the struggles she faces on a daily basis. Her music is ethereal and from the heart. Inspired by artists such as Alicia Keys, it was LA's  Jhene Aiko who influenced Tiah to write "Walk away" with chilled vibes and a meaniful presence.
Tiah wants to be emotive with her music and for people to relate on a spiritual level. She sees herself as two different people. One who just tries to blend in to the crowd. The other being of some significance in the world, a shining example to people with disabilities.     
She is currently involved with the Amy Winehouse Foundation, where she is working with producer Dukus and is collaborating on Walk Away with artist and rapper Mister Sanders.
Tiah will perform on 31st July at a showcase organised by the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
