Tinapay X is a band on its way to finding its truth—and it is not afraid to make detours and fork-in-the-road decisions down its proverbial rabbit hole. Tinapay X started as a garage punk group joining “battles” a.k.a. rock contests eight years ago. The original lineup (after a revolving door of two vocalists, four guitarists and a few other henchmen later) underwent a  3-year hiatus with most band members moving elsewhere and working abroad. The new Tinapay X roster acoustically jammed new material which eventually led to recording sessions. It is in 2012-2013 that the great comeback happened after a major overhaul: original band members Ron (bass) and Elvin (drums) felt the itch and jammed with guitar-vocals duo Michael and Rochel, now the rest is history—in the making.
Bolder and more  mature, Tinapay X remains true to its creative potential as seen in its sensitive yet witty lyricism, its off-beat drum and post-punk bass influences, and of course the  effects of the phat-layered guitars. It retained its bucolic Nueva Ecija charm while capturing the sub-urban, oft-underestimated undercurrents of rock after the great 90’s movement. 
Quintessentially, Tinapay X exists as part of that anomalous ‘lost generation’ movement. It remains a band unafraid of going against this or any decade’s flow. Make no mistake Tinapay X is in its continued aural evolutionary journey.
