First take of two versions of this new song, something I'm working on .. I was hoping to watch the transit of Venus yesterday at Telus Spark here in Calgary, they had telescopes set up but we had clouds all do so we couldn't view it - so I wrote a song instead :)

I'm a Canadian singer-songwriter rooted in classic country, with strong threads of folk, blues, and rock weaving through my sound. Though I play acoustic and electric guitar, my heart has always belonged to the keys—piano and synths are my mainstays. I draw inspiration from legends like Hank Williams Sr., John Prine, Lyle Lovett, and Stompin’ Tom Connors (yep, I went there!). My songs reflect the stories of a life lived across Montreal, Calgary, Texas, and beyond—tales of music halls, prairie skies, radio booths, and the open sea.

After years in radio broadcasting, where I interviewed everyone from Roy Acuff to Garth Brooks, I turned inward to focus on my own music. I’ve since released a growing collection of original songs that blend heartfelt storytelling with a sense of humor and a dash of wanderlust—fueled by over 30 cruises and travels spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
