Welcome to Episode 148 on Poisonoise Music with this mix coming over all the way from Vietnamese based artist Akinori Kato, aka Slowbirds.
Akinori is a new artist to my ears, but he has been involved in DJing and music making for around 20 years!  He is also a co-founder of online radio platform Mogra which focuses on Vietnamese and Asian DJ's and producers.
He has sent me over a really special mix here, a really low-slung, low tempo set of deep and dubby delights.

Bio :
Slowbirds started DJing and Beat Making in Tokyo at the end of 90's.
He moved in Saigon and started the underground bass music party "Base
of the Bass" in 2014 and has played at Bass Republic/Error:102/The
Obsevatory/The Lighthouse and Studio Adventure as well as many other
Festival/Parties across Vietnam.
Co-founder of the online radio and party gang "Mogra Radio" since 2020.
He music spans across Dub/Deep Bass sounds.

Adrian is a much sought after producer in the world of Reggae & Dub, co-founder of the revered labels On-U Sound, Carib-Gems, Pressure Sounds & founder of HitRun records too, Adrian's contribution to Reggae music is absolutely immense!

Adrian's production credits read like a who's who in the Music game including Lee 'Scratch' Perry, the late Bim Sherman, Dennis Bovell, Little Roy, Sly & Robbie, Steven "Lenky" Marsden, Carlton "Bubblers" Ogilvie and Jazzwad. Voici une formation que vous ne verrez pas souvent. African Head Charge est un projet polymorphe de dub, versé dans l'expérimentation, regroupant percussions, instruments, électronique et autres ingrédients très variés. Chapeauté depuis les années 80 par le grand Adrian Sherwood sur son célèbre label On U-Sound (courrez vous envoyer la discographie entière, c'est une merveille), le projet est mené principalement par Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah. Fort d'une immense discographie en forme d'odyssée depuis le début des années 80, il s'agit assurément d'un des temps forts de cette année à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte!
