CANT KILL WHATS ALREADY DEAD:. Why there are tags popping up all over Southern California bearing the name of a long-dead Jamaican gunman / studio musician is beyond us. Why there are new records popping up, supposedly written by said dead gunman and containing references to his crimes only he would know, is even further past us. On his Instagram page, the tagger responsible claims that because of an Obeah hex, he has been possessed by the ghost of TINLEG, and is evidently powerless to keep from writing and recording lyrics, while seemingly in a trance, as well as ditching his own long-time tag to scrawl only "TINLEG" across every available surface. He claims to become sick and nauseous if he ignores the urge to write and record this music, and says that when he complies, he not only feels better but feels "all the way better. Like heroin." Kiko Winston Hubert "Tinleg" Tical (1974-19??) was a JLP gunman during the contentious and violent elections in the wake of Jamaica's independence from England.
