Production duo anamē deliver their remixes of Lostep's seminal record 'Burma'. 

anamē is the new project from Marcus Schössow (previously one half of gardenstate) and Thomas Sagstad. The pair have had a busy 2022, debuting with their emotive collaboration with Above & Beyond and Marty Longstaff, 'Gratitude'. 

A jubilant vocal ballad and a tough, dancefloor filler, 'Gratitude' has cemented itself as a future classic for both Above & Beyond and anamē. Marcus and Thomas subsequently dropped their own 'AM' and 'PM' mixes of 'Gratitude' on Anjunabeats, with All Day I Dream star Sébastien Léger also contributing a rework.

anamē have also released 'Influencer' (with BLR and Robbie Rise) on Anjunabeats over summer 2022, and a stirring rework of a dancefloor classic in Conjure One and Sinéad O’Connor's 'Tears From The Moon'. They've now turned their attention to another one of their personal anthems, Lostep's 'Burma': anamē's 'AM' remix was premiered by Above & Beyond at their sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in Los Angeles.

Lostep first released ‘Burma’ in 2004 on Global Underground Music, which was then remixed by Sasha and included on his iconic Involver compilation. The original and Sasha remixes became dancefloor staples, racking up plays from legendary DJs across electronic music: John Digweed, Gabriel & Dresden, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, BLR, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Nick Warren and Lee Burridge to name a few.

Amsterdam-based producer, singer-songwriter, and DJ Nicky Elisabeth returns to Anjunadeep with club heater ‘Dusk'. 

‘Dusk’ is an expansive instrumental track that combines atmospheric pads with a deep, gritty lead line and soft, melodic arpeggios. With a sparse use of vocal chops, the percussion moves the track forward, creating an engaging groove ready for the dance floor.

Her high-energy sets won fans over at destination festival Anjunadeep Explorations this June, and Nicky is set to do the same at even bigger label events this year, with appearances at prestigious venues including the Brooklyn Mirage, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Colorado’s Red Rocks, and London’s Finsbury Park in her busy schedule.

Tinlicker strike again on Sotto Voce, their second release on Feed Me’s imprint takes things up a notch for 2015. Out exclusively on Beatport on the 14th April, and other platforms worldwide on the 28th April. The kaleidoscopic synth tinged 5-track EP “Into The Open”, is an epic journey from start to finish. The EP sees collaborations with Devries on the title track, and amazing euphoric, awe-inspiring vocals from Laura Louise on “Gazoline”.

This EP combines the hugely in-vogue modulating 80s synth-techno with the atmospherics expected from a Brian Eno project, backed by the thumping, crisp percussion, spanning across, spacious loose-limbed headphone pieces and tough, floor-focused club tracks. This innovative duo have sculpted a unique sound of their own, and made a home with the Sotto Voce family.

Odd One Out requires me to sometimes release records that are a bit...odd. So after the 2 first releases I decided it’s time to unleash a hint of Gouda. The track asks ”Is This Trance?” and is fuelled by some gargantuan bouncy saw riffs that I picked up from my 13-year old brain which at the time was listening to Southside Spinners and Gatecrasher compilations. Slightly slower and more mature, like some of my favourite cheeses are, this is quite close to musical Gorgonzola with some hedonistic grapes.
