Three Sisters

Square One is the lead single from Tinned Meats’ upcoming second album, KILTER. The track encapsulates everything that makes the band so compelling: unhinged rants, frantic drumming, and no-wave guitar-driven verses that open up into a melodic, synth-led chorus with three-part harmonies. A brief respite comes in the form of a light jazz-inflected Rhodes piano break, offering a moment to breathe before the track collapses back into its final onslaught—a grinding synth underscoring the last moments of the final verse. Lyrically, Square One paints a vivid portrait of the frustration and confusion of being trapped in an unrelenting, hallucinatory puzzle.
