'It is a new year and Heinz Music is ready to set it off with a bang! Daniel Jaeger is a familiar face to the family and especially loved for his skillful molding of synths. Together with the young and talented Raphael Hofman he has set out on a deep and mysterious journey, resulting in their "Lost Unit" EP. The title track already sets the tone, and a dark and ominous bassline leads the way towards a soundscape of stabbing and atmospheric synths culminating in a powerful break. Secondly, "Kids On A Riot" continues with a flaring groove and massively pulsating bassline. It is a kind of euphoria hidden in the melody, just eagerly waiting to create some frenzy on the dance floor. Daniel and Raphael's third original track, "Generation Change", funks it up a bit. A tight and bouncy drum work sets the scene, introducing mysterious melodic elements and chords, underlining the silky vocals.'

PREMIERE: Alexander Alar — Jerusalem (Original Mix) [Lost On You]

'Aaryon has been making his name in the techno world with a slew of records on Noir Music, Parquet, Suara, and remixes for names like Olivier Giacomotto and Solee. The Spanish producer is known for expertly crafted tracks brimming with smooth melodic peaks, bold edgy hooks, and dark textures that sound excellent in a club. Aaryon now makes his Yoshitoshi debut with the Nos EP, which features three new creations which straddle the boundary between club-focused techno and experimental electronica.

We kick things off with “Ember,” a track that has become Sharam’s go-to set starter. Its extended vocal waxes poetic about mankind’s discovery of fire before laying down a dark and dreamy groove. Next up we have the title track “Nos,” a hard-driving and ethereal tune with fluttering synths and commanding bass stabs which build gradually to detuned and otherworldly melodies. Lastly, “Away,” a collaboration with Underher, ditches the 4x4 template for a complex triplet-based groove and is sure to catch clubbers by surprise with its ominous, pitched-down vocals and experimental flavor.

The Nos EP is a sleek and exciting body of work that functions on the cutting edge of dance music and proves Aaryon is a name to look out for. Get it January 18th on Beatport. '
