I was supposed to be releasing a whole three-song project inspired by my idol Kendrick Lamar, but seeing as much as I wanted to just jump on his beats with some dope rhymes I couldn't do it. Not even because I couldn't contemplate what to write but I also didn't want to just approach them like they were any old beats. I knew I had to put my all in making them as accurate as I could. The past few months started as feeling like I was being eaten alive by depression & aggression, so I had to vent & take steps back from certain people & things. No longer trying to look for who I want to be but instead creating myself up, I put a lot of emotion into this track alone. This is why it is the first to be released. It would mean everything if those who listen can just send the link to Kendrick so he can really hear what his music has created & brought out from someone like myself. I would love to be signed but even if that does not happen it would still mean the world if I can shake his hand, gain some wisdom, & play him my songs. Maybe then I'll actually be more proud of myself for all I have accomplished even if it ain't shit. DAMN. Rest in Paradise Malcolm James McCormick, miss you every day as if I've met you before. I was asked this about a year ago only because of my DAMN. tattoos but it started to grow on me as time passed. Do I FEAR my DNA? Maybe only self, what lies in the DNA that made me overreact in an outlandish & unnecessary behavior. I was tested for my energy nearly taken out my ELEMENT but I fought it mentally. & why do I FEAR failure so much, I can't control the thought of never truly manifesting my gifts & talent or pursue my actual purpose on this planet at this point in time. For a long, while I thought FEAR was really in my DNA. FEAR is merely an illusion to distract growth. So even with it floating around still & being on me, my GOD energy overpowers every time. It's always easy to want better, I'm still trying to do better. Let all I do & leave behind tell my illustrious story when I'm gone. & may it inspire some part of the future. Peace.
