Here is a cover I made of the magnificent Indian singer Sheila Chandra’s song The Enchantment, live recorded in one shot via a Zoom H6N.
I used an AKAI Force with a piano and a mkII MIDI keyboard for playing and sang over it with a Rhode NT2A and an RC-505 to make loops.

Funny fact : the song’s tonality is a frequency located between B flat and B. Clearly higher than a B flat but not enough to make it a B. I detuned my instruments to be able to play it for I wanted to keep this special tone. 

Sorry for the numerous false notes I made during the recording.

The Enchantment

This is a track written in a single night as a deep acknowledgment to the Kino of Porquerolles and a tribute, for it suddenly ended in the island of Porquerolles after ten years.
