For human beings of ancient times, the obscuring of a celestial body was an event of immeasurable, cosmic significance. While today we stare at the stars through telescopes and note down columns of numbers with scientific detachment in the belief that we have everything under control, the darkening of the sun and moon is actually a reminder that our lives on earth are in fact beholden to primordial patterns that originate far beyond our small touchscreens.
This is how Lunika's new album "Eclipse" comes upon us as the floor darkens, as certainties dissolve and sentient bodies search for a meaning.

The beats from the speakers and our "heartbeats" become the only certainty, the dance becomes a salvation from the infinite "void" and the drop becomes an initiation.
This is how we break out of closed systems and return to the open sea of interconnectedness – exactly the kind of water we appreciate to have under our keel with Meeronauten Musik. Together with Lunika, Herrhausen & Treindl and J.WOCKENFUSS keep a close eye on the patterns of (sound) waves to provide us with some orientation in the darkness. At some point the light will return.

🏭 Hi Ben, wie schön, dass Du heute bei uns bist. Wie kamst Du zu elektronischer Musik und letztendlich zum Produzieren?
Ganz früher war ich öfter in der alten Grießmühle in Berlin feiern, und ab 2014 hab ich mit FL Studio erste Tracks gemacht. Nach einer etwas weniger aktiven Zeit, brachte mich auf der Wilden Möhre 2021 das Set von Air Horse One zum Downtempo und letztendlich meinem heutigen Sound.

🏭 Woher holst Du Dir Inspiration für Deine Produktionen?
Schwer zu sagen. Am meisten inspiriert mich, neue Musik auf Veranstaltungen zu hören und seit ich nun auch Podcasts aufnehme bekomme ich auch super viele neue Ideen, durch die Musik die ich auflege. Oft entstehen die aber auch einfach so beim Produzieren.

🏭 Wie ist Deine Herangehensweise wenn Du ein Set planst?
Ich höre erstmal querbeet drauf los und speichere, was mir gefällt. Mit der Zeit merke ich, in welche Richtung es gehen soll und dann sortiere ich die Tracks nur grob nach Stimmung und Groove.

🏭 Welche 3 Tracks würdest Du mit auf eine einsame Insel nehmen?
Gibt‘s da ne ordentliche Anlage? [Anm. d. Red.: Zur Not lässt sich da sicher was aus 'ner Muschel bauen.]

🏭 Gibt es etwas was Du den Hörer|innen mitteilen möchtest?
Viel Spaaaaß! Ich find‘s sehr interessant, welche Tracks besonders reinhauen, deshalb fragt gerne nach und ich rück die Tracks dann gerne raus :)

In slow motion, even our slowed emotions went completely loco, like a runaway train in muy loco-motion 🚂

Peering through a murky microscope, we spotted a deeply Intus-iastic musician:
INTUS - part swamp wizard, part filthy cloud whisperer - with a macaque monkey perched on his shoulder, feeding him chunks of cloud
until the right inspiration fogged up his glasses 👓

Intus summoned the neighs of the night ‘em self - Air Horse One - and hitched them for a ride 🐎

But something was still missing…
some smooth swoof groove - so Schwofdrossel rode up on his broom 🧹
