Tippo Tunes startete 1996 mit den ersten DJ Versuchen auf Abi Partys  und war schnell mit seinem Soundsystem Yalla Yalla Movement auf den Bühnen Europas und darüber hinaus als Selector und Sänger unterwegs . Als  Sänger der Band Skallywag supportete er Bands wie the Skatalites,  Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Doreen Schaffer, Lord Tanamo,  Laurel Aitken, Busters,  Reel Big Fish,  Dr. Ring Ding, Looptroop, Mono & Nikitaman, Culcha Candela, Mr. Vegas,Dub Fx  u.v.m..
Er selbst wurde supportet von House of Riddim und der Boomrush Backup Band. Bei Konzerten von Nosliw, Natty Flo,  Ganjaman usw. sang Tippo Banking Vocals sowie bei verschiedenen Festivals wie Fusion, Reggaejam,  Summerjam, Uprising, Chiemsee Reggae Festival, Ruhr Reggae Summer u.a.. Musik war somit immer sehr präsent und ein fester Bestandteil seines Lebens. Dj´ing on the one and two war ebenso immer fest integriert, ob es nun die Riddim & Classics,  Bässerleben oder Dubtales Reihe war oder er seit 2015 mit der FreshBeatz Crew  sein Unwesen treibt.  Ein Freund sagte mal, Tippo hat zwei musikalische Herzen: Das eine liebt den offbeat und das andere die gebrochenen Schläge und manchmal dürfen sie zusammen spielen. Und genau das spiegelt seinen Sound wieder.  Er liebt es rollende Basslines aus alten Jungle Tagen mit neuen Sounds dieser Zeit zu kombinieren. Mal deep & foggy,  mal etwas jumpy mit bekannten Reggaevocals. Oft verschmolzen mit Hörnern und Amen Breaks - aber auf jeden Fall  immer tanzbar.

Tippo Tunes started out in 1996 with his first attempts at DJing at school graduation parties and was quickly touring Europe and beyond with his Yalla Yalla Movement sound system as a selector and singer. As the singer of the band Skallywag, he supported bands like the Skatalites, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Doreen Schaffer, Lord Tanamo, Laurel Aitken, Busters, Reel Big Fish, Dr. Ring Ding, Looptroop, Mono & Nikitaman, Culcha Candela, Mr. Vegas, Dub Fx and many more. He himself was supported by House of Riddim and the Boomrush backup band. Tippo sang banking vocals at concerts by Nosliw, Natty Flo, Ganjaman, etc., as well as at various festivals such as Fusion, Reggaejam, Summerjam, Uprising, Chiemsee Reggae Festival, Ruhr Reggae Summer, and others. Music was therefore always very present and an integral part of his life. DJing on the one and two was also always an integral part of his life, whether it was the Riddim & Classics, Bässerleben or Dubtales series, or whether he has been causing mischief with the FreshBeatz Crew since 2015. A friend once said that Tippo has two musical hearts: one loves the offbeat and the other broken beats, and sometimes they are allowed to play together. And that is exactly what his sound reflects. He loves combining rolling basslines from the old jungle days with new sounds of this time. Sometimes deep and foggy, sometimes a bit jumpy with well-known reggae vocals. Often merged with horns and amen breaks - but in any case always danceable.
