Producing a 3 track EP 'Girls', his Original Mix comes through with an audacious sample from Sweet Pussy Pauline, Chicago's late 80s house icon, whose quick-witted vocals over synthy sounds give way to the funkiest of basslines. The dipping and reintroducing of a disco-synth melody alongside bongo sounds within the percussion cultivate a track you can't help but groove to.

The 'Special Mix' lives up to its name and takes the track up a notch, with a hard-hitting, progressive beat that turns spacey through the waves of melodic sounds recognisable from the original. With its surprising keyboard interludes, this floor-stomper is certainly meant for smokey D-floors and laser beams.

'Swales' Late Night Garage Mix' delivers a syncopated drum pattern using simple chords for an uplifting feel before transcending into a smooth musical texture between the piano and sax, complemented by a looping drum which emulates an airy future-garage beat throughout. Just as you begin to envisage the sun setting somewhere, echoed vocals float in and out of the track whilst the piano moves around freely, adding to the Sax's jazzy sound.

After her critically acclaimed work with New York outfit LCD Soundsystem, Nancy Whang's vocals appeared on the latest Classixx album and now she's embarking on a new four EP project. She will release 4 cover versions of classic tracks from the 70's and all of them are set to feature some big name producers.

First up on production duties are Audiojack and together the trio have created a beautifully floaty edit of Dennis Parker's 'Like An Eagle'. With dream-like arpeggiated synths and Nancy's trademark soothing vocals this a nu-disco roller you need to hear. Better still you can download the Extended Mix for free right here. Carloh makes his debut outing on Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion with ‘Despierta’, a striking two-track EP set to close out August. Born in Sangolquí, Ecuador, the DJ/producer is widely regarded as one of South America’s key players in the global expansion of house music. Releases on iconic labels such as Desolat, Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and Serán Bendecidos have helped shape his international reputation, with his blend of percussive rhythms and Andean textures drawing widespread support and chart success. ‘Despierta’ is an extension of that sound, a fusion of folkloric roots and forward-thinking club energy, grounded in percussion, hypnotic vocals, and a deep spiritual undertone. The EP reflects a connection to ancestral culture, channelled through a contemporary house music lens.
