Recorded a quick first demo of a song I've been working on for quite some time. The last verse is missing, but here are the current lyrics:



Two boys are wandering the desert, and something
Tells me that I should know their names.
One is a devil, the other’s an angel,
But really they look just the same.

They laugh and they dance, it makes no difference
To them to be lost.
They embrace and whisper sweet words to each other;
They don’t know their cost.

Their footsteps in the sand draw a symbol in the end.
It looks like such a bad omen,
The kind to pour anger, hatred and terror
In the heart of every single man.

They stop and lie down, everything’s been done,
Their role is over.
The light will soon hit this place which was unfit
For the two lovers.

“What is going on?”
“All over the world?”
“Shouldn't we run home?”
“Run! Run! Run! Run home!”


The kids outside play; The sky won’t stay gray,
It’s about to turn so bright.
Not that they mind rain, but it’s such a pain
When they slip and lose their kite.

The grown ups, amused, are watching the news
About today’s crime.
In the room above, teenagers make love
For the very first time.

The oldest ones, last, remember the past
At the graveyard of a bitter war.
Did their sacrifice truly erase the vice
Of the ones who were there before?

Or does the voice they hear reveal the utmost fear
Of a joke, immense,
That all their beliefs, their prides and their griefs
Never really made sense?

“What is going on?”
“All over the world?”
“Shouldn't we run home?”
“Run! Run! Run! Run home!”
