This has been a tough year for my family losing both my grandparents and my uncle in the past 4 months but with downs you learn valuable lessons. You realize life is short and your passion and drive become stronger. I always waited for people and friend to guide me through this journey but the truth is your destiny is up to you and only you. I'm sick of settling for "good". Truth is "good" doesnt change the world. "Good" doesnt make dreams come true. I made this song as a therpeautic release but also to spread a wider message. Treadmill is a record I wrote about my experience in the music industry. Almost none of y'all see behind the scenes of the music industry and all the lying and stealing that happens in it. I've dealt with countless promoters, blogs, DJs, & managers that promise to take your music to the next level and do nothin but take your money. I feel like I've worked so hard to get to where I am with not as much in return as I feel I deserve. Talking to Alex I realized this wasn't just about me and him. Treadmill is a record for anyone who feels they've been workin their ass off for something but some days feel like their not going anywhere - that your stuck on this endless treadmill. This is NOT a surrender record. This is a fuck you to whoever thinks you can stop us record. Remember that treadmills only make you stronger for the real race. Keep running.
