Recorded from my solo project performance at the University of York, this is two original tunes sandwiched together: Homunculus, an ambient interlude, and Fin, a jazz/post-rock influenced finalé which features the whole band.

It was about 4am, I was ''practising''. I had the mic on, some of it sounded half decent.

Hey, why not. I should play more organ this term.

For those interested in the organ, it's a 3-manual neobaroque tracker, designed with early German repertoire in mind. However, with a little tickle in the right direction, it can be made to sound very 20th century.

Late Night in the Lyons..

Same deal as the improv I did at silly-o-clock in the Jack Lyons, only this time at home, in my local church, still in the wee hours..

Written as a collaboration with the Scarborough based artist Dan Mailer, as part of the Coastival music festival in February 2011, this was a commission for Dan's existing piece to be supplemented by the University of York Jazz Orchestra.
