About “To A Friend - A Celebration of Life" 

Terry wrote this song as a tribute to celebrate the life of Richard Howard. A close friend of Terry’s, Richard passed away in 2020 to Glioblastoma, the same brain cancer which took Gord Downie’s life.

“15’s Up” is the third track to be included in the Tell Me A Story expected Spring 2022. It follows a successful release of “To A Friend (A Celebration Of Life)”. The ethos behind single or music style is eclectic. Imagine if Tom Petty and Jeff Lynn got together and did an Electric Heartbreaker Orchestra song.

About “15’s Up”: The song is about a last dying wish/request. It is a parting love song that gets out the singer’s last words. The lyrics tell thoughts and emotions that he should have expressed a little earlier.

No One Needs To Cry

Falling in love feels like a new beginning because that’s what it is. When you fall in love for the first time, you get to meet yourself for the first time in your life. “The Way That You Kiss” defines those feelings and vulnerability. The singer carries you through falling in love. You experience emotions and thoughts you never believe existed within you. At least, not before falling in love.

When you fail to keep the love alive, things shades and your view of love is a few shades darker. Yet that is the paradoxical contrast of falling in love! 

There is ugliness with beauty. There is darkness with light. There is pain with pleasure. There is death when there is life.

“Take This Heart” is a sober love song. It speaks about endings, moving on and resignation for what was n't there anymore. It hurts to think that the love of your life, your world, isn’t what you believed it to be. It hurts to even think that everything that you’ve believed to be true may have all been in your imagination. The life you’ve begun is about to end and a newer, darker version of you takes form. It may hurt but you can’t stop yourself from giving it another shot.

About the song: “Let’s See Where It Goes” is a very personal song written about someone the artist is blessed to have in his life. Every incident in the song happened and is real except for perhaps the title itself.
Quote from artist: “Neither one of us is sure if we actually used the words but we both agree that we probably did at one time or another. One thing I have learned over time is that you just never know and if you don’t take a chance you never will..

After I recorded the song I thought I’d google the title and whoa, to my surprise there was a lot there. Quite a few different interpretations but none that expressed what this song’s message truly means.”

Let's See Where It Goes

Think warmer nights holding that special someone tight under the stars in a Napa Valley or Niagara vineyard, and be swept away. Terry K 3TL takes us on a romantic interlude of two lovers dancing the night away. This is a perfect song for summer nights.

Asked many times what kinda songs do you write? What genre are they? Who’s your audience? I have one simple answer and let me be clear they’re SONGS FOR OLD MEN. Songs of my life, wisdom acquired by memories and a clear outlook that I ain’t dead yet so I keep bringin’ it.

This is the first single of the 3rd album of a trilogy. The title of the album may be Songs for Old Men. I hope you enjoy it and the songs to come. Bonus if the songs bring a smile or a tear or maybe you dance a step or two.

About the Song:

It's said that you never really get over things, you just live through them and bearing that in mind I try to remain optimistic with my writing. I wrote in Let's See Where It Goes, "life is long and love is complicated to reflect that optimism and it continues with Blues Every Night. The sentiment is simple; can't change what's been lost after it's gone and one way or another, we all get left behind, alone. The lyrics reflect what changes and the realization of what is no longer there when a relationship ends for any reason. There are only two choices, one being perseverance. The track is straight ahead Blues/ Jazz played by some very talented people so give it a listen with a friend, no need to be lonely. I hope it helps. ~ Terry Kozachenko
