My dad wasn't in my life. I didn't know what i was missing until I was in a relationship with a woman who had a son. 2 years old. We moved in together and I grew to love that boy as of he was my own son. His laugh, his smile, the way he ran to me when I would come home. Unfortunately me and his mom just couldn't make it work after a few years and I haven't seen him since. This song is inspired by the fear of losing a love like that again. This one's for Michael.

This song is a survivor's monologue. It's set in a sci-fi world, right after a disastrous battle. It’s about the heavy silence after the fighting stops, and you're left grappling with the sacrifice someone made for you - especially when it was someone you never got to tell how you truly felt. Instead of sticking to a specific genre, I was guided by the emotions of the story, letting the sound create a really specific, atmospheric mood.
