I've been fighting cancer since 2010 when I had a portion of my left kidney removed along with what we hoped was all of the cancer.  The cancer has returned in 2022 and is spreading through my body.  Stage IV Kidney Cancer is creating a lot of pain, and I don't want to take opioids due to the many downsides for that class of drugs.  Cannabis has helped a little, but what has helped the most is Ketamine therapy.

This is music that you can feel and when you do, it will also heal!

I'm finding one of the most healing things I do for myself right now is listening to music.  Even more healing is mixing music.  And the most healing is mixing music during a Ketamine session.    The nice thing about a mix is the flow that comes with it.  I'll be adding video to future mixes that include fractal and trippy graphics that really tie everything together and helps you achieve the perfect TK-FLHole!

Chillin in the Void! (TK Sirmize Remember-who-you-are Mix)

Attending this event was a first for TK and KT, though Barter Fair has been an Okanogan Family event since 1974. After being requested by family, TK and KT made the drive from Utah to Washington to hold space for the event. 

This set was a co creation, with participants as they were exiting the property after a 2 day musical and gathering. The intention of the set was to co create a sacred space, love, and high vibration- you will hear this as you continue through the set and ground into the music and experience.

The Evolution of Gaia Kai

I set out on the road again to share myself, my gifts and talents with the world and on 5/2/2024 I left Indianapolis and headed toward Chicago.  As I contemplated where my first stop would be, a conversation with a friend of mine in Indianapolis came back to my mind.  He and I had been talking about Gary, Indiana, famous to me because of the song in Music Man about Gary, Indiana.  He referred to it as "Scary Gary," which I had started to get more curious about.  

I looked up Gary, Indiana on the map and immediately saw a marker labeled "Michael Jackson Family Home".   It looked like there was a park right across the street, so I started to contemplate the possibilities, including the opportunity to set up my sound and mix some Michael Jackson tracks for people stopping by to pay tribute to the Pop Icon. 

When I arrived in Gary, I parked behind the Jackson Family Home, and across the street was what I could now see was an abandoned High School, I saw a man (unhoused neighbor) moving his bedding behind a chain link fence on the track and field area of the high school.   I introduced him and offered him some water and a cigarette.  He accepted the gift of water and we began to talk, immediately aware of the sacrednicity of our meeting.  

He explained that spirit/wind had told him to stop sleeping in the utility closet he had been staying in and to sleep out under the stars tonight.  Had he not followed the prompting, we never would have met. 

I offered him a healing sound journey opportunity/experience and he emphatically accepted.  Jamail got comfortable and I started my process of providing a healing opportunity for him.  With rain pouring down, lightning flashing and thunder clapping, and the spirit settling in to provide such a beautiful bubble of peace and safety, we journeyed together, letting the musical vibrations wrap us up like a warm blanket.  

Thank you for being a part of my journey, for your beautiful support, and for believing in the power of community and compassion.  "We the people" can make a difference, one act of kindness at a time.

Heaven Is Here

Tonight, I mixed some music in my living room after another night of trail running.  I've been running lately, inspired by Ecochallenge Fiji to be an adventure racer.  I'm 45 and I'm still discovering who I am.  I've recently turned my focus into what my body is capable of.  The last few years, I feel like my focus has been on exploring the depths of my mind.  I've continued to trust in love (I was taught that it was called The Holy Ghost, Jesus Christ, God, The Godhead...but all those are now not Love, but god is love, so I choose to call it what it is, LOVE), which I see growing brighter and brighter and I'm never surprised anymore when I look towards the source of love and realize it's within me.  The more I love myself and accept who I am today, the more I realize who I am.

Today I get to bear witness to the true me just a little more honestly.  And I can only do that to the extent that I understand it, but the truth is, I'm still coming to understand it.  So I can't define it, nor do I want to just put it in a box by trying to put parameters on it.  So I just get to love who I am today, and it's a glorious place to be!  Feels like heaven as I've learned to set me free!

This TK Sirmize Living Room Mix tells a little bit of my story, and all the emotion that comes from discovering who I really am.  It's a tough journey that we're all on.  When I got to what I was deciding would be the end, I came to terms with the idea that it doesn't matter if it ends or if it goes on forever.  Today is what I have, so I stopped waiting for heaven to come to me; I realized it's already here.   This is heaven!  I get to enjoy this experience I've been given.  Now that I'm aware, I want to be present for it!   I've met so many incredible and beautiful people who love themselves enough to be who they truly are.  And they look like all of you.  There isn't just one way to represent love.  Love looks like everything and everyone.  Love knows no limits.  Love is eternal.  

I hope to be truly me in every way.  I am TK, and I want to be finished living compartmentalized lives.  It's getting more and more obvious as I shift back into old personas that used to serve me based on the building I happened to be in.  Whether in the house I lived in, the church I prayed at, or the building I worked in, or the mountains I played in, every set of circumstances came with rules for who I could allow myself to be.  When I realized those rules were all self-imposed, and when I realized that some of them weren't serving me, I started to choose out of some cycles that taught me all that they could teach me.   The more I embraced who I really am, the more these shifts in personality felt like a betrayal to just being. 

More and more, I can see me.  I am beautiful, just the way I am.  Today, I set me free!
