I’m a little lost robot
No more emotions or feelings
I’m trapped with my thoughts
And they have me reeling

I’m wreathed in darkness
Praying for light
I’m becoming a part of it
I’m scared for my life

Leaves brush against me
Grass too as I fall
I can’t feel the rough bark on the maple tree
Guess this is the curtain call

But then I feel a hand on me
Really feel, not just see
And I look into bright, beautiful eyes
And no longer am I fighting to survive

He takes my hand and leads me away
Keeping the unruly darkness at bay
But every so often it infects me
And my happiness is but a memory

My savior always picks me back up
Carries me until I have the strength
But I can’t help but wonder
Every time I am saved
Is he going to get tired of this
And leave, to go far, far away

Because being with the little lost robot is hard
It’s scared of a lot of things
Like failure
And people
And finding where it was on its way to

He takes my hand and leads me away
