Bắt đầu sự nghiệp của mình tại quê nhà Copenhagen vào năm 2012. Qua rất nhiều bản nhạc được phát hành tại Token Records, CTRLS đã mài dũa cho mình một phong cách âm nhạc rất đặc trưng. Những âm thanh của anh mang tính cá nhân rõ ràng và dựa trên những cảm hứng về công nghệ tương lai cùng với nhịp beat nhanh. Các bản phát hành của anh nhận được rất nhiều luồng streaming với những con số đáng nể trên Token Records và Key Vinyl. Anh luôn coi mình như là một tín đồ cực trung thành đối với dòng nhạc điện tử, anh vừa là một nhà sản xuất âm nhạc, vừa là một người biểu diễn live act rất chuyên nghiệp. Và như tất nhiên, với những khả năng như vậy thì anh luôn là cái tên cứng cựa tại các hộp đêm nổi tiếng điển hình như Berghain, Khidi, Fabric, Tresor, Kit Kat và Drugstore. Hiện tại anh đang là resident DJ tại Ved Siden Af.

The Ctrls project was founded In 2012 with Copenhagen as homebase. From the first Token records release the presence of a highly individual sonic style was apparent and his fast paced and futuristic techno based sound has now been well established with a stream of respected music on Token Records and Key Vinyl. A lifelong devotee of electronic dance music, DJ’ing and live performance are central for the project. This has resulted in many involved sets at globally notable venues such as Berghain, Khidi, Fabric, Tresor, Kit Kat and Club Drugstore in addition to a residency at Copenhagen’s purest electronic music venue: Ved Siden Af.

We’re living in a world where being loud gets you noticed, selfishness is the norm and respect is treated like a weakness - and honestly, I’ve never felt at home in that vibe. When I first got into the underground scene, it was all about mindfulness, empathy and lifting each other up. That energy lasted for a while, but over time it got buried under DJs chasing fame and agencies turning the underground into something they could sell as EDM.

When I started working on this track, I wanted to capture what a warm-up feels like today and how to nail that perfect shift from chill vibes to peak energy. Subdued Manners is my way of looking back at what the scene used to be and asking how we can bring that energy back.This is my way of sharing the message and reviving the original spirit, where everyone feels free to be 100% themselves.  

I teamed up with my co-producer in Hamburg to cook up a fresh VIP version of the track. I’m dropping it for free to all DJs because I want this message to spread. Let’s bring the realness back.
