Not A Headliner is the project of Spanish artist Jose Garrido, currently based in Madrid, focused on techno and the study of rhythm for the club. With many past and present influences. Not A Headliner focuses on the development of the dancefloor as a space of communication, seeking to intertwine the audience and the music being played.

He seeks to catalog his sound through labels such as Kaos, Oaks, Moral Standards and his own, which he has developed throughout his artistic journey, Globoffcorp and Unsolved. 
Throughout his career, he has had the pleasure of being part of nights in places where the techno scene represents a movement that goes beyond its own expression, such as RSO (Berlin), Bassiani (Tbilisi) or Under Club (Buenos Aires), among many others.

Whilst back in November, he released his most recent album ‘La ciudad de los muchachos’ on Cabrera, which featured his trademark funk-infused, energetic grooves aplenty.

For this podcast I picked up the pace a little more. The BPM is a 141 and the overall intensity of the set is really high, with a lot of drive. 

Most tracks have a mix of rhythmic and hypnotic elements to it. This mix creates the perfect atmosphere on a dancefloor for me. I hope you all enjoy this 1 hour journey.
