Tawo Lobsang Palden is one of the pioneers in the contemporary Tibetan music scene to introduce a fusion of western and traditional Tibetan music. He popularized folk drinking songs like Lhasey Changshey through use of western musical instruments and created many evergreen songs like Yeshi Norbu and Namgung ki Nyida. Tawo Palden moved to Germany at the age of 12 and is currently a senior doctor at the state hospital in Lüdenscheid.
