In these times, I have a lot of time on my hands which I feel like is a blessing. Everyday I'm waking up, having breakfast, meditate a bit and go to the park for a work out. After the 4-hour morning routine, the day starts off with a couple of hours working on my old and new music: producing-, mixing-, and mastering sessions. The rest of the day I fill with some other tasks to be done. It feels like I'm moving 'Forward' with my plans and ambitions like never before. So, how suiting is it to drop a 3-track EP called 'Forward'? The EP consists of 3 original tracks which have one thing in common; the driving, rolling, and forward (bass)synth. To me, the pushing sound represents moving forward instead of standing still while the world turns around. 

The production, the Mixdown, and the cover I did myself. However, it's the first time that I gave the mastering session out of hands in order to have that second ear. Thanks to @modestcrow for the masters!

"When I performed in a club in Bavaria, the event went out of control. I was booked for a warm up set before playing, I noticed that my dj colleagues were acting very strange because I already knew there were a lot of hard drugs involved. When I was done with my warm up set, the next act played for about 45 minutes, after that he dismantled the dj equipment at around 2:00 am because he thought it was 5:00 am the whole event was chaos. Tom Schippers is a techno producer and DJ from Haarlem in The Netherlands. He is the founding father of 023TECHNO hosting parties with the hottest names in today’s techno like Thomas Schumacher, Bart Skils, Spektre, Johannes Heil, 2000andOne and Umek.

Tom simply lives and breathes techno for all his life. Growing up in Haarlem just outside of Amsterdam he has always been a great music lover and in particular that driving 4/4 rhythm. Working in a rockvenue at a young age he started out as a fan of punk and rock bands in the 90’s. It was Jeff Mills doing his wizardry on three turntables that gave him the revelation of techno. He thought it was magic seeing someone use the turntable as an actual instrument.
Tom started messing around himself with records and under the illustrious name of ‘Schijfrijders’ (literal but crazy translation of discjockeys in Dutch) he started organizing parties with a group of friends quite quickly. Hosting names like John Selway, Green Velvet, DJ Hell, Speedy J, Âme, Andrew Weatherall and Ken Ishii. Tom always invited guests they believe in and that represent the music that he and his friends love. The love for electronic music and in particular techno had grown to great heights.
