Este es el segundo tema de nuestro disco "A Futile Guide to Modern Living" inspirado en el libro recopilatorio de Oscar Wilde, "Guide to Modern Living". Oscar Wilde escribió en El crítico como artista: "El único deber que tenemos con la historia es reescribirla". Tanto musicalmente como líricamente es una oda al PMA y el hardcore de los 80 y 90. En ella participa Jorgito, leyenda viva del punk español que pasó por grupos como Wallride o Nocivo.


This is the second track on our album "A Futile Guide to Modern Living" inspired by Oscar Wilde's compilation book, "Guide to Modern Living". Oscar Wilde wrote in The Critic as Artist: "The only duty we owe to history is to rewrite it". Both musically and lyrically, it is an ode to the PMA and hardcore of the 80s and 90s. Jorgito, a living legend of Spanish punk that played in bands like Nocivo and Wallrite, participates in it.

This is the seventh song of our Oscar-Wilde-inspired album, "A Futile Guide to Modern Living". Oscar Wilde Wrote in A Woman of No Importance: “Duty is what one expects from others, it is not what one does oneself” The song talks about how fast we are to criticize others, but how little we actually do for others. The first part of the song is an original song by us, and the final part of the song is a Ramones cover.

AS THE WORLD LIES DYING (I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES)

This is the eighth song of our Oscar-Wilde-inspired album, "A Futile Guide to Modern Living." 

It's probably the most autobiographical song on the record. 

It is born from that moment when you realize that you're living life more concerned about sharing it in the digital world than living it for what it's worth. 

It has an intentional easy-on-the-ears pop vibe to overstate the superfluous and banal trends that threaten the essence of our individuality.

In "The Importance of Being Ernest," Oscar Wilde wrote: "It is very vulgar to talk about one's business. Only people like stockbrokers do that, and then merely at dinner parties."

My Mistake

The song acknowledges how this year has lifted the veil on our deficiencies: Vanity, materialism, insecurity, narcissism and hypocrisy, and how it has made these even more evident. It talks about the irony that we needed nature to teach us a lesson about our own nature.

It also pokes fun at the fact that humankind has been caught being a despicable species and how it has tried to turn that on its head to make itself look like the victim of 2020.

All in all, it points out how we are desperately trying to turn the page on this year so we can continue to be our shitty selves, instead of opting for a more mature and needed self-introspection.

This is the first song of our new album "A Futile Guide to Modern Living" that we will be presenting monthly from February to November through singles. The album is inspired by Oscar Wilde's compilation book, "A Guide to Modern Living."

Oscar Wilde Wrote in Lady Windemere’s Fan:
“I am the only person in the world I should like to know thoroughly”

This song talks about a problem that has gripped many today: The contradiction between the narcissism that prevails in the world and the inability to be alone and willing to live with oneself.

Tania, singer of Moscú Babies collaborates in it.
