Zillaswap is an Underswap take by @the-bowz-16716601, one that we took interest in because his interpretation seems really unique - like, never in a million years would I have imagined a world where Napstablook (even in an Underswap take) would take a form inspired by Bender, but I am abso-bloody-lutely for it. When I first made BelowExchange I had no real ideas for Alphys. So I kinda just went "uhhhh alphys like anime right lemme make her japan-themed" but i was never really that happy about that, it was kind of cliche at this point and had already been done by other people. But once the whole "Alphys finds workout tapes instead of anime" idea hit me like a freight train, I never looked back. That was honestly a turning point for BelowExchange, it was the first time I really felt like it was coming into its own. Anyways here's your shamisen funtimes, enjoy :p

This one was pretty but I didn't feel like it had a lot of instrumental variety. More importantly, we hadn't decided on the one part of Ruins swapping with the one part of Another Medium yet, so the swapping was inconsistent. Still very pretty though, and it did a great job enticing people early on.

Because BelowExchange started a month before Dweller's Empty Path released, we had no idea Be Brave! was even gonna be a thing. So this is just a bunch of dog motifs slapped together. It really does slap tho, and I think most people agree that even though it's less fitting, it's better than V2. I think V3 beats them both tho.

This was just a cover of XerotheWolf's song of the same name from the very early days of the fandom. For a long time I found it to be the most fitting version of an Underswap Ghost Fight, and I still hold it very near and dear to my heart. However, this was made before I realized that the parts of Metal Crusher not taken from Noisemaster's Theme or grandpasemi is just modified It's Showtime!, which I was already using for the Spooktune. It just feels like a reminder of my own dumbassery now. Also yes this does mean that the other miniboss themes are getting updated eventually, stripped of their Showtime.

I will always love this version a lot, maybe even more than V2. It's a really really beautiful piece. But Toadie really wanted to have made 100% of the soundtrack, so I let them update it. It was for the best, though, V2 fits way better for the "less of a big fuzzy pushover" way I'm writing Asgore now.

Toadie and I have been calling the new (almost definitely final) version "V3," but in truth it's more like V2. This version didn't change all that much from V1, just some small mixing and compositional changes. We would've stuck with this one, but then I realized there was more that could be done with it.
I'd seen people NAME Asgore Heartaches after Bereavement, but I'd never seen anyone style the song itself after Bereavement. So that's more what the new version aims to do, with Toadie trying their best to emulate the beautiful music of @flashygoodness (and doing a pretty good job if I do say so myself).

After the events of Weirdmageddon, the government started using the weirdness-containing town of Gravity Falls as a place to hold magical beings from other dimensions. However, these beings have gotten rowdy and unruly, and the government has employed Frisk Dreemurr, savior of monsterkind, to bring about peace.

I was never super thrilled with the way this one turned out, it seemed a bit downbeat, but that's on me. I had no direction for the Skelebros in BelowExchange originally. They were my least favorite part of the project, because I just felt like anything worth doing with the Skelebros in Underswap had already been done. Bit by bit I started to find my footing with them though, and now they have distinct personalities that I can get behind. New Papyrus is more upbeat, so he needed a more upbeat theme. Plus this is supposed to play in a fun little ice cream parlor! V2 fits that a lot better, but this one deserves to be remembered. Also, Papyrus's Cool Song swaps with the Ice Cream Song.

Y'know for a while I guess it just...never really occurred to me that Snowy had a motif unique to it. Like, it was right there, but I just...never really paid attention, I guess? I was mighty embarrassed the first time it occurred to me. Not that long ago, in the grand scheme of things. Less than 3 years ago, at least. For a while we didn't know what to sub in the motif with. Toadie suggested School, but I didn't really want to do that, both because Tony Wolf's Underswap already did that and because it would mean the School motif (which I love) wouldn't show up much anywhere else. I got desperate, at one point even suggesting a song from the Homestuck Christmas album. But then @cacoteaster came in and was like "I wonder why no one uses the PS4 launch trailer theme" and I was like "wait the what" and the rest is history. Thanks Cacote. :)
