Hame’s productions, performances, and personality radiate warmth; and this podcast is no different. 
 
A dear friend of the festival, whose musical craftsmanship leaves us in awe every time. In June, he guided the Above Below audience through dusk, with a blissful live set, a welcomed embrace, as we prepared for one final night of dancing.   

Hame has gifted us a number of warm, deep, unreleased tracks in this new mix, and we can all share excitement for their release throughout the course of 2024.

Today's Premiere is by Vancouver based producer Jesse Bru. Released through French imprint Egoplanet, his latest offering, the "Roach Fingers" EP, features four tracks of raw yet elaborate house music. Take the title track here : a clever use of samples, solid beats, syncopated Rhodes parts, the Canadian producer distils proper late night warehouse groove through your ears and body. The vinyl is out just in time for Christmas, get it while you can, this will definitely grow on you!

Long time channel pals, "Who’s Susan" have kindly chucked a lovely DJ Windows XP jam our way from their brand new bi-polar-esque titled EP, "Sometimes I Feel Happy, Sometimes Sad" - I guess operating systems do have feelings after all. After making serious waves off the back of their last release on DJ Haus' imprint, E-Beamz; the Amsterdam duo's second offering demonstrates another, perhaps more considered facet to their production ability - yet retaining their trademarked raw stonk.

Lots of questions are still left to be answered, though. Who really is Susan? Maybe ‘it’ could have been me? At the end of it all though, who cares. Let your synapses turn around the infinite situations, with infinitesimal different angles round and round your brain- what’s gone is gone. Dust to dust.  Stare into the abyss, sink into your cocoon, let the bass drum thud in the back of your throat, the background synths wrap over you, crescendoing into the most alleviating rush. Pretty blissful stuff and certainly not just another jovial 'DJ' pseudonym.
