DESTITUTE label is back with our fourth release - the last one we have for you in 2021. This time we’re bringing you More Balance / خاڪو by ABADIR, a producer hailing from Cairo and currently stationed in Berlin, and 3HDSafxri, a producer that has been working within the Polish experimental scene for a long, long time. After the club constructions of our previous release this one plays with genres and breaks them down to create music that is as gentle and emotional as it is dramatic and hard hitting.

The entire proceeds from this release will be given to Chlebem i Solą - a Polish charity that is currently working way too hard to manage the migrant crisis on our border with Belarus.

Cult hero Madjestic Kasual takes the reins for our latest podcast. But what is Madjestic Kasual? A subreddit dedicated to that question puts forward a number of theories: beanie aficionado, Dean Blunt enthusiast, music archiving channel, or, as one Redditor suggests, all-round “top lad”. 

A Soundcloud and YouTube entity, the MK curation offers a music “eggsperience” like no other. Only the most vital output from some of the most boundary-pushing labels and artists about.

This eclectic mix shows another side to the mysterious figure behind the beanie.

Timesaver is Xen Model’s third full length album and second release on the Causal Chain imprint. The 9-track LP stays true to the duo’s eccentric sound while delving into the introspective side of their productions. Club-focused head nodders “Pin Cycle”, “Face Forward”, and “Controller” accompany key tracks like “Arm’s Edge Reach” and “Grip Dial”, which channel the duo’s affinity for ambient music. “A Bright Star” spotlights a catchy guitar hook and features close collaborator 11ai. Xen Model’s signature play on halftime structure is engaged in bass-heavy cuts “Ripstream” and “Local Group”. The album comes to a close with a radio edit of their previously released track “Lurch”, which clusters the duo’s myriad styles and influences in an encapsulating statement of the Xen Model sound.
