Singing along to the radio was an unselfconscious habit inherited from our Mum, Dad & Nan. It was from Nan, though, that we heard what seemed like an endless stream of music hall and variety songs we can all still sing today, given half the chance.  This was a favourite of hers and, it seems, of the crowd too.  Many thanks to Jono Trott at Core Arts for all his help ‘cleaning up’ the original recording.

Dear friends, it would be a very good idea to inform all governments that satellite monitoring of forest fires is important for early detection of fires!! It is much easier to fight the fires if they are detected early. The forest fires are probably extremely harmful to the earth's climate!
Huge forest fires are raging in California right now- terrible!
the whole world is all too often affected by widespread forest fires with large emissions of greenhouse gases as a result. In addition, a large part of the oxygen formation and carbon dioxide elimination is lost. People and animals also lose their lives and properties!
It has now been reported that satellites can be used for the early detection of forest fires - the so-called Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS). Now hope that the knowledge spreads to the whole world!
AND, hear and be amazed, there are idiots starting wars in the midst of this dire climate crisis! War machines, explosions and fires sure release lots of greenhouse gases! Stop all wars now - immediately!!!
