Suffused Diary 037 with VAN BELLEN on friskyRadio

German DJ and producer Yoogie Van Bellen has a resumé that the majority of producers would envy. With over two decades of experience in electronic dance music, Van Bellen first hit notoriety with 'Let Me Take You' which was released on Nalin & Kane's Superfly label back in 1997. Remixes of Chris Raven's 'I Know You Love Me Too' and DJ Sakin & Friends 'Protect Your Mind' then followed, with each featuring on memorable compilations in the form of the Gatecrasher Black Album and Sasha's San Francisco Global Underground. This then led to his status as one of the most in demand remixers of the early millenium years, with a fraction of those being Breeder's 'New York FM', John Johnson's 'Impact' and Future Breeze's 'Smile' and remixing for Ministry Of Sound, Renaissance and numerous others. 
Whilst achieving milestones as a solo producer, Van Bellen was also hugely successful as one half of Saints & Sinners and their label Sounds Good Records. Saints & Sinners biggest track was 'Pushin Too Hard' which was championed by Sasha, John Digweed. 

After taking a small break from the scene, Van Bellen has continued where he left off with some superb productions and remixes for Adaptation Music, also remixing for Airwave and several other labels including Stellar Fountain and Sound Avenue and his latest remix success for Dr. Avalance on Suffused Music.

It was the closing set of a 2 day event that started Sunday night and ended Tuesday evening to align with June's full moon. Framewerk (aka Darren James and Alec Milliner) formed in 2013 to encompass the fresh sound of nu disco. Over time their productions and DJ sets have evolved to what might be classed as "electronica" - bridging the gap between deep house, tech house, break and chill out.
Within a relatively short period they have had the privilege to work with such labels as Toolroom, Selador, Armada, Global Underground, Chapter 24, Sleazy Deep, Prison Entertainment, Great Nights, and Dear Deer (plus many more); gaining recognition from the likes of Nick Warren, Carl Cox, Dave Seaman, Tiesto and Danny Tenaglia along the way. 
Beside running their own Capital Heaven imprint, the duo hosts a monthly slot on the legendary Tunnel FM alongside guest appearances on Frisky Radio.
Their DJ bookings have seen them play globally to thousands over the last three years. Their productions and remixes have been charted the world over. Going into 2016, there are no signs of any of that slowing down!

It would be difficult to remember the exact details of how the team was born after so much time, but one thing is certain – the Rf-Crew is the 2.0 version of an exceptional, music-mad group of friends. Founding members and name-givers: Dj Szamy & Dj Ad-M.
The crew first started spreading their wings around 2003 in “the heart of the Great Alföld (Hungarian Plain)” and was hugely inspired by the welcome their smaller-larger outdoor and indoor attempts to fly got. This is exactly what they needed. Thanks to the initial success and motivation, the path, idea and attitude towards life that the team would have liked to follow started unfolding in front of them.

Their first bigger milestone was the Tiszaparty organized in 2006 where the visitors were no longer entertained solely by Rf-Crew DJs, but also by the whole Hungarian goa scene’s cream of the crop who made their appearance as well. A long line of Tisza-parties followed, held in each consecutive year (2006,2007,2008,2009,2010). The great news of the weekend-long mini festival spread quickly and even crossed borders. There were more than 1000 visitors at the 2008 party held on the Rákóczifalva beach. In the meantime the Rf-Crew joined forces with the other big Alföld-based group of party organizers, the Thermal Team, which resulted in a series of psychedelic parties held in the Mindszent castle-spa; the Tavaszi Zsongás and Red October and later the Summer Open Air and Psylvester as well. It wasn’t long before the Mindszent castle became the “citadel of Alföld goa”, featuring local and foreign artists such as: Para Halu, Kalumet, Aurafood, Venom Sense, Deto, Mindflow, Yarn, Snag the Sunshepherd, JIS, Big Bacterials, Parallel Dialog, Champa, Basic, The Freak Show.

The Rf-Crew continues to play a significant role in the local goa scene today keeping true to their original philosophy. The events hosted by them are hallmarked by high standards, diversity and popularity. You can find their DJs on the lineups of many psychedelic music events.
