the Vermouthian Sages were thought of as space-myths
until I found them in my dinosaur book
they looked tattered and broken, asleep by the ocean,
about to become breakfast for a kronosaurus

before the Vermouthian Sages could flee the Cretaceous
in their temporal poly-scramblizer
they had to scatter my lipids, transmute me to liquids
lest their takeoff set my lips on fire

and though I knew the risks i still begged to stay undivided
I offered all i had just to watch them split the horizon
and while my eyes were burning out, they called me the world's best fighter
but being charcoal-bound i didn't care much for the reminder
