There are a thousand cherished moments that we associate with this club. One of them occurs in the early hours of the morning, when the light streams into Theater through the stained glass windows. As the bass resonates through your veins and your limbs twitch with joy, the sunlight delicately caresses the faces of the dancers. These smiles, dipped in bliss, are unforgettable. We had the pleasure of performing for this beauty in the first morning hours of this year. And we want to express our gratitude a thousand times over with this recording. Thank you for the countless aching muscles from laughing and dancing, for the tears in our arms, and, above all, thank you for the sincerity you bestowed upon us, MENSCH MEIER. Es gibt tausend liebste Momente, die wir mit diesem Club verbinden. Einer davon ist in den frühen Morgenstunden, wenn das Licht durch das bunte Fensterglas ins Theater scheint. Während der Bass durch die Glieder vibriert und die Gliedmaßen vor Freude zucken, streichelt das Sonnenlicht zärtlich die Gesichter der Tanzenden. Fast schon eine Woche ist's nun her und ich freu mich immer noch wie gestern über diesen wunderschönen Morgen auf der Fusion mit euch! Hier ist mein Set vom Freitagmorgen 4-6 auf der Velvet Soup @bachstelzen. Was für eine Ehre nun einmal mehr mit so einer stabilen Tanzbärenbande in den Sonnenaufgang zu schunkeln. Die Fusion ist und bleibt für mich einfach ein ganz besonderer Ort und ich freu mich extremst Teil davon sein zu dürfen.

Live recording of my hybrid live/DJ opening set at Fusion Festival, Sonnendeck – Thursday 16:00–17:00.

This was my first show with the new setup, combining live handpan and djembe with DJing – and it was an absolute joy. The sun was blazing, the crowd was glowing, and the energy was pure magic.

Massive thanks to the Fusion crew for building this one-of-a-kind festival, and to the 3000Grad crew for the invitation, the beautiful stage, and the improvised parasol that saved the handpan from melting.

The handpan tracks 'Ouvertyre' (intro) and 'Eltanin' (starting at 21:32) are productions I wrote and produced for my electroacoustic band https://soundcloud.com/norlyzmusic. With NORLYZ we combine the warmth and fragility of acoustic instruments with the precision and power of the electronics: captivating grooves rich in fine sonic details, inspired by techno, jazz and global sounds. Wow ich bin immer noch ganz berührt von diesem wunderschönen Freitagmittag auf meinem allerliebsten Floor!
Die Aufregung und Vorfreude für mein Hybrid- set war groß – und das Gefühl, dort spielen zu dürfen, einfach unbeschreiblich. 
So viele strahlende Gesichter, committed zu meinem Set sogar bei Nieselregen – das hat mich wirklich bewegt. Und als dann nach etwa einer Stunde endlich die Sonne rauskam, war das on top die größte Freude und ein epischer Moment. Euch alle beim closing vor mir stehen zu sehen, euer Klatschen und Jubeln zu hören hat mich dann komplett überwältigt. Ich konnte nicht anders, als die Tränen fließen zu lassen.

So viel Dankbarkeit dafür, dort spielen zu dürfen  – und Dankbarkeit für euch. 
Für euer Dasein, euren Support, eure Energie.
Solche Momente erinnern mich jedes Mal daran: Genau das ist es, was ich machen möchte. 

Neben vielen anderen Tracks mit eigenen Vocal-Neukreationen und Cover-Versionen für dieses set habe ich als kleine Hommage an meine Liebe zur Freikörperküste eine Neuinterpretation des Tracks Lazy Sun von An-2 mit eigenen Vocals produziert – gewidmet dem fernab-Kollektiv @fernab-berlin
 Für euch – ihr tolle und supercute Crew!
