Shormey realized her passion for making music when she was 14 and would work on making beats in her room. She developed her talents and was ready to begin making solo music at age 21 and while she still makes music in her bedroom, her sound has evolved to something she’s ready for the world to hear.

It’s hard to exactly pinpoint Shormey’s sound, but it’s characterized by the disco-esque, feel-good vibes of the 70’s. She’s got an old soul and pulls a lot of musical inspiration from artists of that decade. She’s released songs online and has curated a mini EP that she hand personalized herself, titled God Bless Bob Ross: A Collection of Low Fidelity Recordings, which she hands out after her performances.

Shormey currently lives in Chesapeake, VA, but she’s done shows in Richmond at Gallery 5, Strange Matter, and various house parties. She’s looking forward to putting out more music in the near future.
