Description: I thought it would be nice if there was a winter episode starring Duck, so I created a theme for him that reveals a Christmas atmosphere by using mostly Bagpipes as some of the instruments and adding bells from a standard kit. Come to think of it, I've only made two Christmas themes so far. Sorry about that.

After joining a Discord server focusing on the music of Thomas, I downloaded all the instrumentals from S8-12 and thought about doing a what if Hartshorne composed a theme for Duck during S8-12 based on that one cue from Toby Had a Little Lamb as well as his theme from S17.

"BoCo" | A Season 8/9 Theme

After several unsatisfactory attempts to recreate this that have been lost to time, I present to you an all take from me on Thomas' Anthem, instrumental version. This was always my favorite sing along as a kid, and as an adult I appreciate it for how unique it sounds. This was one of the last times Mike and Junior seem to have used mostly Prophet 2000 sounds for anything, and it really sets this song apart from the rest. I have several other sing alongs to share so stay tuned. In the mean time, enjoy!

Original music by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell. Recreated by AceofTrains in Acoustica Mixcraft 9 using Nektar and Alesis MIDI Controllers, samples from the SCI Prophet 2000 Factory Library and Yamaha RX-5 Drum Machine, an E-Mu Proteus/2 Orchestral Soundfont, and a Yamaha DX-7 VST.

Man... I know that I've had to remaster this on fucking track for how many times it's been now... but I honestly cannot be happier with how it currently sounds. I'm gonna update both the Roll Call and CITV Theme, but those can wait to be redone another day.

Thomas & Friends - Opening Theme (Remastered)

Here I present to you… my first HIT Era styled Track! 

The decision to make the theme about Asher was tempting. What I mean by that is that it wasn’t originally going to be assigned to Asher and it was just going to be a generic theme. But then I realized that I did say that I was going to make a HIT era theme for Asher, so I ended up assigning this theme to him. If I’m being honest, it doesn’t sound very Asher-like, mainly because there are no bagpipes. And since Asher is Scottish, I wanted to add Hartshorne bagpipes, but I literally could not find them. I searched the Hartshorne soundfonts for so long, but couldn’t find the bagpipes, At least not yet anyway. I’m sure they gotta be hidden in the soundfont somewhere. Once I have the bagpipes, you bet your bunkers I’m gonna add them eventually.

With all that being said, Enjoy this theme!

Asher’s "HIT Era" Theme (DO NOT USE)

I previously uploaded this theme before this account was updated, and to make it closer to the opening theme from the HIT era, I lowered the reverb on the U-220 Piano. In addition, I thought the whistle part in the intro was unnecessary, so I deleted it. To be more specific, I used the one from ShortStumpyEngine as inspiration.

Hmm... So what would the episode have been like if all three cars were the main characters when Donald and Douglas interacted with Percy? In the meantime, I released this as the last theme before updating my account. However, this time I used the Bagpipe and Proteus 2 soundfonts from Seasons 6-7, and remade it to the standard of Seasons 3-4.

Merry Christmas, everyone! I’ve been silent for a couple months cooking this instrumental up. Even though it’s not part of the official Trackside Tunes album, I felt inspired to make this in time for Christmas. This is one of my favorite sing-alongs of all time, and it was a blast to make. If I were to make another sing-along instrumental, I’d go back for the TT album for “Harold the Helicopter,” but all in due time. Anyway, stay safe and close to your family and friends this season, and enjoy this treat of mine! Have yourselves a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
