This tune was written after a fairly empty gig at the Clocktower at Steamboat in Colorado. The band was particularly amused that we had negotiated a guaranteed fee for the night vs. a cover charge - one of the benefits of having some leverage.  I would say that major influences for the tune were Phish - Picture Of Nectar (which we were listening to heavily at the time) and Genesis (Peter Gabriel era) which I have always been heavily into. So you get a little latin, and british progressive rock crossover.
