수많은 다양한 형태의 예술 작품들은 우리에게 카타르시스를 느끼게 해주죠. 

캐스트 어웨이, 프리즌 브레이크, 쇼생크 탈출 등 수많은 탈출 영화들이 대중들에게 사랑을 받을 수 있었던 이유는 ‘공감’을 샀기 때문이라고 생각해요.
주인공이 탈출에 성공하는, 어찌 보면 너무 뻔한 이야기 전개 속에서 우리는 어떠한 공감을 했던 것일까요. 

우리가 실제로 무인도나 감옥에 갇힌 것도 아닌데 말이죠.

혹, 주인공의 [상황] 자체는 나와 다르지만 느끼는 [감정]은 나와 비슷할 것이라는 무의식중의 간접적 공감은 아니었을까요?
눈에 보이는 이미지로써의 연결고리가 아닌 감정적 연결고리와 그것이 해소되었을 때 느끼는 해방감 말이에요.

사실 상황의 연결고리는 중요하지 않았던 거죠.

앞으로 듣게 될 음악들에서 감정적 해방감을 느끼셨으면 좋겠습니다.

Art in all its forms gives us a sense of catharsis. 

I think the reason why so many escape movies, like Cast Away, Prison Break, The Shawshank Redemption, and so on, have been so popular is because they have bought ‘empathy’.
What empathy did we have in the all-too-obvious storyline where the protagonist succeeds in escaping? 

It's not like we're actually stuck on a desert island or in prison.

Maybe it's more like an unconscious, indirect empathy that the protagonist's [situation] was different from mine, but the [emotions] he felt were similar to mine.
It wasn't about a visible image, but more about the emotional connection and the feeling of liberation when it was all resolved.

In fact, the connection of the situation didn't really matter.
