I started writing this song years ago, about my relationship with my mom. We were arguing a lot at the time, and I wrote this song to express a sort of nostalgia for the things I wish I had growing up. Over the past few months I started working on it a bit more and ended up adding another verse and a bridge. I also added some drums and bass.
