God forbid Toby wants to do ANYTHING for one of the projects most dear to him that literally shaped who he is as a musician. I don't like Vivziepop either but acting like the fact that Toby has any sort of vague connection to her is some kind of unforgivable universe-ending betrayal and we should all just burn his games like they're world-ending monstrosities made by the literal devil is a whole other level of insanity

coming here after it was revealed that andrew hussie was just trying to work with a stubborn dude and vivziepop had essentially ZERO involvement in the pilot at all makes me laugh dude this is so stupid

I know nothing about the controversies regarding Andrew Hussie and Vivziepop, but because like you said, Toby still chooses to work with them, it makes me think that the controversies regarding Andrew and Viv weren’t enough to actually change anything between them and Toby; solely because  the arguments themselves are just basically nothing burgers from what I’ve gathered by reading other comments here.

You've likely already heard about Toby Fox's collaboration with Andrew Hussie and Vivziepop on the new Homestuck animated series. If you're unaware, these two people are *very* problematic for differing reasons. I won't go into the full story here, but to keep it short, Andrew Hussie was recently exposed for harassing and bullying a fanmade archive of the Homestuck comic, and Vivziepop, on the other hand, has had a history of being racist and overall being just generally problematic.

The fact that Toby Fox, despite these issues, chooses to *still* work with these people is very telling, I think. Of course, keep in mind that Toby is friends with numerous other problematic figures, such as Omocat and Bani-Chan; this isn't a one-time thing. It's been happening for a while now.

Toby Fox knew. Toby Fox isn't stupid, he's AWARE of what all of these people have done, yet he still chooses to work with them. I've tried to give Toby slack, thinking that maybe, just maybe, he really does care, but this is my breaking point, and seemingly, it is for a lot of other people too.

I've lost all respect for Toby, and his work as a whole.

I loved this community. I really did. Why would I have made an archive account for Toby Fox's work if I didn't? But if this is how Toby Fox treats his fans, his COMMUNITY, I can't stand for it. I can't stand for what this community has become. I just can't do this anymore, and I'd recommend that you rethink your place in this community, too.
