relieved in seas of joy
we joined the mass of few.
now full of hope we rise
to leave the past behind.

the sun, now shining brightly
thus reaches our weakest blaze,
keeps us and them united
till stars will take its place.

but what is what and you and me?
who keeps the joy, who pays the fee,
when our 'us' is not their 'we'?

as daylight yields and darkness rises
we'll fall apart with heads up high
and pore and brood, adapt the lie.
