This week we have a set from DJ Sol, recorded live at Mustaches & Margaritas -- our pre-playa fundraiser at Mars Bar on a gorgeous summer day.

Sol says: 

"I love walking into a party that's going off with only 10 minutes to spare before you start your set. When I arrived everyone had a mustache on and the margaritas were flowing. As I made my way to the back there were lots of sweaty bodies dancing and Shissla was tearing it up, as usual, right before I jumped on the decks.

For this set I had burned 2 CDs of brand new tracks I'd been wanting to play, but about halfway into my mix I realized I must of burned the same shit on both CDs!! Luckily I brought a couple more CDs and eventually the place was rockin! Although it's not the mix I was planning on, it turned out way better than I expected.

I ended the set with 2 killer remixes, PuRe SX & Mutantbreakz remix of Reckoning Song (One Day) by Asaf Avidan & The Mojos, which has the classic line "One day baby, we'll be old, oh baby, we'll be old, and think of all the stories that we could have told. Then into Mr Mezdup's remix of the reggae classic Israelites by Desmond Decker And The Aces."

Brad Robinson Live from Breakfast of Champions 2013

Enjoy this live recording of the Plump DJs (Grand Hotel Recordings) from the Space Cowboys' 13th annual Breakfast of Champions in San Francisco on New Year's Day. The Plumps were a surprise, unannounced addition to the line-up this year and to the delight of an unsuspecting crowd, they lit up the Funktion One stage as the sun was setting on yet another epic B.O.C. Plumps DJs are internationally renown UK DJ/Producer duo Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, whose passion for innovation and non-conformist attitude to electronic music has fuelled their fire for over a decade. "Thank You Breakspoll!!!!! Nominations for Best radio Show- RIPEcast and Breakfast of Champions- Best large Event. Yvette Bassett and I attended Breakspoll in London last weekend. We had a great time and were well received there.  We flew up to London packing many stickers and wearing our Cowboy gear. Folks were patting me on the back and congratulating Space Cowboys for attending and getting nominated.

Representing the SF scene and being there ment a lot to many....us included!  Thanks to everyone who voted and have supported the Ripecast and B.O.C. for these many years. Mad prop's to Vincent Wojno for the studio time to create this mix a couple days ago....nailed it in one shot brutha! Off to SXSW this week. If in Austin....
