Reece is a Yorkshire born Cornwall based DJ and producer who has been releasing music since 2007.
Whilst Reece started out making 90's influenced deep house records, he now enjoys making 'French touch' inspired disco house, edits and
reworks. Reece draws his influence from classic labels such as Crydamoure and Roule and more recent labels such as Pomme Frite, Razor N Tape and Toy Tonics. Artists that inspire Reece are Adryiano, Phil Weeks, and LF System to name a few.

The last few years have seen Reece release music on some prolific and highly respected labels in the industry. From the legendary Nervous Records and Robsoul Recordings, Lumberjacks in Hell and Tropical Disco Records. Reece's recent releases on B2 Recordings and Disco Disco Records have seen him gain Top10 chart listings in the Nu-Disco charts. Whilst releasing with these labels he also gained support and chartings from a wide variety of DJs including Mousse T, Dave Lee ZR, Dan Shake and Craig Charles' Funk and Soul Show. He also had plays across the BBC Radio network and was chosen to be a "Producer of the Month" for BBC Radio South & West.

I became besotted by house music from an early age.  In 87 I was buying tracks with my saved up lunch money and not eating at school all week.  Rather than go for the obvious tracks, I always wanted to find those nuggets that were a little more obscure.  At 15 I was buying tracks by Nexus 21 (Mark Archer), Fallout (Lenny Dee and Frankie Bones) and Neal Howard.  It wasn't the stuff your typical 15 year kid would like.  The first time I heard Lil' Louis - French Kiss at Dance Wicked, it blew me away.  

My first ever DJ residency was Labrynth in Dalston Lane and in 93 the music became exciting and progressive house and this suited my taste and my passion for finding lesser known underground tracks.  

When Kinky Malinki was born, we both wanted it to be musically our thing.  We were inspired by many different nights and many DJ's, but we wanted to be different musically from all the other nights.  

Most people will think Kinky was all about disco house .  It wasn't.  We played disco, naturally.  But we also played deep, dirty, underground music. People came to dance and the atmosphere was always electric 🎶

Maybe I was known to be the DJ to play a little deeper and a little darker, but I always played from the heart and the tracks that moved me, and inspired me.  Many of those tracks became Kinky anthems, such as Quentin Harris 'Let's Be Young',  Kerri Chandler 'Bar a Thym (Tom Middleton Remix) and Dennis Ferrer 'Sinfonia Della Notte'. All some of the best deep house tracks ever made 🙌

This mix is me being the old me, and playing music a little deeper and little darker, but it's music that makes me want to grove and move and likely put my back out. It's groovy and funky 💃🏻🕺

At Kinky Malinki you'll hear everything from disco house to tech house, but it's always great music.

Grammy Award nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. Already devoted to turntables, he heard something different in those tracks, and he “went for the difference. I never got a break in New York, but England happened right away, so I catered to them.” In any event, the Todd Terry sound was born.

By 1988, Todd Terry hit big in England and Europe, and his notoriety was making its way back to the U.S. In addition to DJ appearances, Todd was cutting his classic underground tracks A Day In The Life, Weekend, and Can You Party, released under monikers such as the Todd Terry Project, House Of Gypsies, and Royal House, all considered essential and ground breaking.

In the mid 90’s, the Ministry of Sound’s eponymous UK label released A Day In The Life, a collection of Todd Terry tracks that had been causing dance floor panic. That then led the way to a deal with Mercury Records allowing him to set up a context in which to work with his favourite singers and performers. The first release, Keep On Jumpin’ on featured a vocal workout from super-divas Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, together for the first time ever. The song became a top 10 UK crossover pop hit and worldwide smash. Todd followed with the anthem ‘Somethin Going On’, a top 5 UK crossover pop hit.

All the while, Todd continued to break new ground as a Producer/Remixer. From SNAP to Annie Lennox to George Michael to Bjork, Todd’s mixes bridge the ground between club cool and commercial accessibility. In 1995, his remix for Everything But The Girl’s Missing became a worldwide smash, giving the British duo their first ever hit. He then rode the charts with mixes for Garbage (Stupid Girl), The Cardigans (Love Fool), Everything But The Girl (Wrong), 10,000 Maniacs (More Than This), Jamiroquai (Alright), The Cardigans (Been It), and The Lightning Seeds (You Showed Me),.among others. He also produced a Robin S track (Givin’ You All That I’ve Got) for the multi-platinum Space Jam soundtrack.

INK/Distinctive Records 2005 release The Todd Terry Trilogy: Past, Present & Future on 3 x CD & 10 x 12” vinyl has inspired Todd fans both old and new with over 30 Todd classics and 10 new Todd songs. Todd is also releasing a barrage of new singles on Blanco y Negro, Elementary Group, and Manifesto/Mercury (who are also re-releasing the ‘Keep On Jumpin’ and ‘Somethin Going On’ in 2006). Ministry of Sound has licensed Philippe B Vs. Todd Terry ‘Can You Feel It (Can You Party)’ for a major 2006 release, a new version of the Todd classic Royal House ‘Can You Party’.

Todd Terry All Stars feat. Kenny Dope, DJ Sneak, Terry Hunter, & Tara McDonald’s ‘Get Down’ will be released in 2007 on Strictly Rhythm. This red hot single is the first proper original release on the re-launched legendary label.

‘Strictly Todd Terry’ compilation mixed by Todd Terry will be released in 2007 on Strictly Rhythm. Todd’s mix follows installments by Masters at Work and Tiefschwarz in this newly launched series.
