feat @marshall-applewhite - on the live mic shout out!  lol. when i dropped one of his gazillions brilliant songs that guy - "mouth work" (all time fav).  totally fucking forgot until i heard it on the recording. huge smile**

btw input on recording must been clipping super HOT - sorry for the damaged audio, esp in the low end, muddy.  tried to clean it up.  some bits survived the garbage disposal.  im just stoked to release this set & grateful to @paxahau for recording every set

"Garrett Heald, better known as gargar, is a DJ currently planted in San Francisco, CA. His origin story starts in San Luis Obispo where he started DJing many years ago and throwing music and arts events as a director of @subsessions_slo. Since moving to SF, he’s played at clubs such as The Great Northern, F8, as well as some warehouse events. Additionally, the esteemed gatherings such as Curiosity and Coalesce New Years have been graced with the sonics that gargar transmits across the desert dance floor. Born in Tehran, @ardalann found himself gravitating towards an unlikely passion for music at an early age. Enamored first by traditional Iranian music and classic jazz and rock, Ardalan’s taste began to transform with his childhood years spent moving back and forth from Iran and California. With each intercontinental return, Ardalan grew his treasure trove of mixtapes filled with rare musical gems like gangsta rap, Italo disco, and movie and video game soundtracks – the best of the West. 

Naturally, when he permanently returned to California in 2006, his distinct taste in music drew him towards long-lasting friendships, which were born through exchanges of mixtape gold and out seeking underground excursions. Ardalan became a regular of the underground scene in the Bay Area, absorbing the sounds of house and techno from the likes of Solar and Galen at the legendary Sunset Sound System parties, and it wasn’t long before he was hooked.
