rely on the real world to pull you through hard times

sitting by my windowsill watching all the rain fall
wondering why the clouds block the sun
sitting on a park bench watching all the children run
wondering why they cry when there's nothing really wrong

listen to my neighbors talk
TV news is bad again
politician saying everyone is wrong but him

all these things are just like clouds
blocking out the sun
bringing a cold rain  down on everyone
life is not that complicated unless you make it so
by wanting things that you don't need and hating people you don't know

so I look around my room and out into my yard
I see the trees sprouting leaves and the ants are working hard
I see the fruit on the trees and the wheat covering the plains
so I know the sun will always shine for me
through the pouring rain
