The first "playing" session with Spitfire Audio's Albion ONE ended in composing this track that I wanted to share with you to get an impression how Spitfire's new treasure sounds and what it delivers right out of the box. I got it since yesterday so these are my very first steps with this product. It became a short, dramatic cue, setting you in the mood of finally crossing these borders that were holding you back for a long time.

Recently I went on quite the binge of Williams' music, and I was so absorbed and enthusiastic about it that I decided to make my own piece set in the Star Wars world, using some of the same themes and in general just referencing Williams' work.

I didn't try to make this piece in Williams' style, but rather tried to borrow some elements from his technique in terms of instrumentation and melodic development. I wanted to infuse a bit of the spirit of Williams' music into this, but still have it clearly be my own composition. Hope you enjoy!

I had a blast creating this score for Corridor Digital's amazing Star Wars Drones video!  Drones, Star Wars, and playing around with Williams' themes? Sounds like a party to me!

Drone Star Wars - Blakus / Corridor Digital OST

This is a cover of the score "Raiders March;" associated with the action-hero Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford & originally from the movie Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981).  As with the entire Indiana Jones series; the original score was composed by the great John Williams.  He uses the main melody as the theme for "Indy" & he elegantly places it throughout his scores for the films.  You'll also hear the full theme in the ending credits along with the theme from the particular film.  In the case of "Raiders" it was "Marion's Theme," that was part of this score.  This is my favorite theme of all the movies, & an Oscar nominated classic by J. Williams.  This cover was performed by ear; but I also used the original score as a guide.  It took about a week to complete this monumental piece of music.  I don't use notation software, so EVERY part was played by hand.
