Hailing from the sunny volcanic island nation of Iceland, Eirikur is a DJ and producer currently living in New York City. After moving to the north suburbs of Chicago in ’94, Eirikur knew his European upbringing would have a profound and lasting effect on his tastes and styles. Not pleased with the sugar gum pop favored in his middle and high school days, he found solace in the underground queer and visual arts. His style is eclectic and unpredictable, blending together elements of acid, disco, dub, house, and techno; culling inspiration from Bjork, Talking Heads, Can, Tropicalia, to early Chicago and Detroit techno, he likes to keep everyone on their toes.
