One half of defunct Aussie duo Riot In Belgium - now producing under the Nile Delta pseudonym - pops up with a rather tasty release on Cut Copy's Cutters imprint. The sun-drenched house-isms of "Channel" roll elegantly into "All This", which sees some remix action on the flip. The Chicken Lips malfunction is an acid tinged chugger, while Australian producer Tornado Wallace chimes in with a boompty mid tempo house workout.


NILE DELTA - CHANNEL

On the title track from his upcoming EP, which drops next week via his own True Romance label, German producer Tensnake plays to his strengths, infusing a bouncy house rhythm with a bit of disco glamour. Mysterious label AM is getting ready to unleash its fourth release. A-side contains two South-African 80’s Bubblegum tracks, revamped by young DJ and Amsterdam-based producer Perdu. He provided the tracks with delicate intros and rearranged them with new percussion, synths and deeper basslines. On the flip Afrobot delivers two kind of New Beat cuts, making the originals more abstract by some heavy chopping, reducing the amount of samples used, and adding disco breaks to the track Jungle. All in all a top shelf EP, our pick being this Perdu edit, "I Need Some Money", of a South African track from the late 80s which you'll have to guess. The record is handstamped with another drawing by Frank Koedood. Don't sleep on this one, it's gonna fly off the shelves !
