That holds true today as we are stoked to offer up our first 2015 headlining festival set from Austin's Euphoria Festival, in full, for FREE. Hello everyone, and welcome to DKODA: The Soul'd Out Show (Vol. I - IV)!  This is without a doubt my most ambitious project to date - a 4 part audio experience, where the 4 Volumes of music are split into 4 Acts - like a music themed audio play, presented to a live audience on stage. I wanted to tell a story about unrequited love, heartbreak, loneliness, elation, hope, grief  & despair. Further themes of true love, passion & desire finally intertwine with peace, togetherness & freedom. The protagonist's story is told in audio form using the lyrics and emotions in the samples of the music selected and used. I hope you enjoy the 'event'!

“We ended up devising something we call ‘flips.” We’ll start with a produced song, and everyone has a philosophy for playing on top of the produced songs. Alvin has acoustic drums that he’ll play on top of it, and we also have drum triggers for electronic drum sounds so we can get a produced sound from the live kit. When I call a ‘flip’ everyone knows that I’m about to filter out the produced track. When the produced music disappears, the live musicians completely switch their sound to something that’s more electronic. Borahm will drop into a synth bass, Alvin will switch to an electronic kick and an electronic snare. It’s like a quick crossfade. It allows us to go from the produced track, with the band accentuating it, to a fully live band without losing something…It’s completely improvised but we’ve put a lot of time into making sure they know, stylistically, where the bounds are.”

The Utah-based audiophile and producer Foxtail reinvents his own wheel with Revontulet. Foxtail’s sound is categorically fluid in every way, and he succeeds in delivering on that fluidity yet again. Each aspect of his songwriting process has continued to mature, from the precise production to the crisp engineering. This maturation process has resulted in a tonally balanced set of five songs that together weave an emotional membrane.

Each track pairs off with the one ahead of it in a spacious, harmonious dance. The synthesis patching across the release is consistent and direct, creating a continuity that holds the record together like glue. Two tracks feature careful, syncopated vinyl cuts that dart through the percussion layers, combining dancefloor sentimentalities with downtempo ambience. Foxtail’s rhythmic structures are concise and hypnotic, carrying each composition straight from headphones to headspace.

Returning fans will remember his last release, Kitsune, as a melodious terminal into the Foxtail audio mythology. Revontulet is its natural successor, honing in on and evolving his undeniably dynamic style. Grouped together with his first release, Vosmana, these three EP’s makeup a dynamic trilogy that spans across the musical mindset of Foxtail.
