The last InSession of the year is coming from Lviv, Ukraine, where Yaroslav M is located. Also known as AC130, he’s been in the game for years. He started from video production for the local Hypnohouse series, and was then promoted to be part of the crew, who later launched the label with the Hypnohouse name on it. 

Amongst that, he started his way of producing, feeding a lot of demos to his friends at first. The second step came very quickly, the releases on Griffe and Lonewolf made him a part of the Lviv-based producers’ crew. 
A bit later he started to perform at the parties, where his style caught attention very quickly, balancing between classic obscure records and his signature modern sound. After that – owning his own label became a thing. And, since you can’t just stop after one – he’ll have one more next year, you’re probably the first ones hearing that news. Stay tuned for the names and more news.

For this InSession he prepared a solid live performance with his signature kinda dark, but also progressive, so still very danceable vibe. Especially in its second part.

This edition of the Mix Series is a prime example of the statement above. Last May at Sunwaves I came across Dragos Ilici. Taking over from Sammy Dee and handing over to Binh, Dragos represents a cross over from my two worlds. On one side the Perlon / Minimal base and on the other, a regular at the Meliflow parties with the likes of Nicolas Lutz, Binh and Vera to name a few. Romanian with a stop in Scandinavia for 4 years, Dragos' artistic make up stands out among his romanian peers. A dedicated digger, currently working at Misbits record shop in Bucharest and part of the Sunrise roster, he brings a fresh take for the romanian scene. This wide diversity can clearly be heard in his sets, as per this one that was recorded at katchApp, a party in Bucharest's main city park this September.

Delighted to share our third instalment of the series coming from Romanian talent and London resident, matje.

Recorded live at an Into The Woods boat party in London earlier this year, matje has served up a 2 hour special, showcasing his talent to it’s full extent.

His productions have been released on a number of labels including Equinox, Arupa and Otaku, and also independently on his bandcamp page. 

Matje’s work in the studio is informed by his capabilities as a DJ, with weird and wonderful rolling grooves overlaying to create a textured, micro-house aesthetic. As stated by Meoko, ‘his sets sound like submersions into unknown worlds where it is extremely easy to get lost’.

We got lost, and we’re not quite sure how to get out…
