"This Friday I’ll b nervously attempting a 2hr radio special on one of my favourite producers - Jamal Moss, aka Hieroglyphic Being / The Sun God / M3MB3RS ONLY / I.B.M. / IAMTHATIAM / Our Souls Are In The Hands Of The Translator / Jai/Mahl (probs more?). This will be Part 1 - the guy is too hot for only 2 hours. As well as all his solo aliases, Jamal is also part of Africans With Mainframes, Chicago Bad Boys, Faces Drums, Interplanetary Prophets, The Angel Race, and was in the The Dirty Criminals.

Raised on the club sounds of 80s/90s Chicago, Jamal Moss’ sound somehow manages to connect the (many) dots between the jacking sound of his city (esp Steve Pointdexter & Adonis) and the cosmic lineage of Sun Ra with a dose of the futuristic sound of Detroit in there too. He makes experimental, boundary-pushing Afro-futurist electronic music. Anyway as he says DontjusttalkaboutitbeAboutIt - listen in :)"
